The goal of the Workshop is to give participants a forum for discussion about the methodology from System level down to equipment level in selecting the most adequate power processing and regulation scheme that optimises the power subsystem architecture for a given mission. The aim is therefore to converge as much as possible to a comprehensive and common strategy in selecting the most adequate regulation scheme considering ESA, Prime contractor and equipment manufacturer constraints, needs and capabilities in order to avoid the following questions: Is the design of the power subsystem optimised? Is the Shunt Regulator or the Maximum Power Point Tracker the adequate solution or is just a shortcut to the proper sizing of both solar array and battery assemblies?
